  1. I am Busy!

    June 19, 2011 by Administrator

I have been very busy lately.

    Face painting

    Examiner.com

This week I face painted at a local community event. See the newspaper coverage by clicking the face painting link.

I posted my first article with Examiner.co, an online newspaper. I am the new Lansing, MI, Arts and Crafts Examiner. I have included a link above.

Next week is the big yard sale (weather permitting). I have worked hard to sort and purge the mountain of crafting supplies I own. I have much more work to complete by Saturday. I will also sell hand painted greeting cards and other artwork.

For readers in the Lansing Michigan area:

The Big Sale is Saturday and Sunday June 25 and 26 starting a 9:00 AM.  Send me an email for the address if you are interested.

Here’s an update on what’s happening at

    CelestinePaints.

My next One Stroke painting classes  at the Lett’s Center will begin the first week of October, 2011. I will have a class during the day (Tuesdays) and one in the evening (Wednesdays).   The Evening class will be on Wednesday and begin at 5:30 PM.  The New Lansing Parks and Recreation schedule should be out the first week of September.

If you have any other ideas on where I may teach One Stroke painting please let me know.  If you would like to have a One Stroke painting party at your home I can set that up for you  and teach.  There are many easy fun things we can do for an adult or children’s party.  One Stroke painting makes for a really fun get together with ” just the girls”.

I am working with Community Mental Health and I hope to begin teaching One Stroke lessons to CMH clients.

This summer I will attend the national conference offered by Donna Dewberry.  I plan to bring back new ideas for our fall classes.

I took one Zentangle lesson and now I am hooked.  Sheryl Lemarand of East Lansing is a great CZT, Certified Zentangle Teacher. You can contact her at sal651@hotmail.com for more information on lessons.

Zentangle is a great way to de-stress.  It is a very portable and inexpensive hobby. You can check out www.zentangle.com for more information.

I will Face Paint at the Lansing Juneteenth  Celebration – June 18th at St Joe Park.  Hope to see you there.

As always you can reach me by email celestine@celestinepaints.com.  Check out my website for more information on CelestinePaints, www.celestinepaints.com/home

Coming soon, I recently became the Lansing Arts and Crafts Editor for Examiner.com – an online news source.  I will let you know when my first article comes out.  Also, I have begun to study with an online book publisher. Maybe some day soon I will have an e-book to tell you about!

    Keep being creative!
