This business is named Celestine Paints. To find out more about my business venture and to see samples of my work please view my website: www.celestinepaints.com/home.

Painting with Donna Dewberry
July 19, 2011 by Administrator
I attended the Donna Dewberry- NEW BEGINNINGS – The Summit Painting Conference last week in Orlando Fla. Wow, did I learn a lot and had fun too!
For those who do not know, Donna Dewberry teaches One Stroke Painting on TV – PBS- Create and HSN. One Stroke Painting is the simplest way to learn to paint that I have found. You can learn to paint beautiful things with just one lesson and of course some practice.
The New Beginnings/ Summit was attended by over 100 One Strokers, many are Certified One Stroke Instructors from all over the nation and the world. We had a blast and learned many new things at the same time.
Painting highlights included painting with wOil (water mixable oils) and face painting using Arty Cakes.
I strongly recommend One Stroke for those who want to learn to paint. There are instructors all over. Maybe next year you will join us at the Summit annual conference!

Simple One Stroke Greeting Cards
July 7, 2011 by Administrator
Simple One Stroke Greeting Cards
These simple greeting cards were painted on watercolor paper using Plaid Folk Art paints.
The background is painted first. I used a dampened brush to slightly wet the paper. I added the muted stripes of bright color allowing the colors to bleed.
The vines, ferns and leaves were painted after the background dried. The foreground plants were painted using black/licorice paint and floating medium together on the brush.
