  1. Work in Progress – Bob Ross was Right!

    I am working in water mixable oils. This is great fun.

    I painted this landscape. It appeared very bland. I remembered that Bob Ross always added a big tree in the foreground of his paintings. I’m a big Bob Ross fan. One day I would like to take a formal Bob Ross class.

    Well, of course Bob was right! I added that big tree in the foreground. Bob Ross always calls this your “bravery test”. I was afraid I would mess up the whole painting when adding the tree. But I was brave and it was worth it. I think the painting is much better with the tree.

  3. Lansing REO Town was hit by the First Annual Art Attack!

    REO Town was hit by the First Annual Art Attack!  Saturday , September 24, 2011. The REO Town Art Attack! Festival was an art showcase, competition and festival  sponsored by REO Town Commercial Association (RTCA).  This premiere event was an opportunity to see the artist’s creative process first hand..

    Attendees enjoyed various music offerings including a local rapper named PHILTHY and the band Ben Keeler and The 500 Club. The center stage of this event  was  the various visual artists who created works on site.  Finished works of art were also available for sale.

    The REO Town Art Attack! Festival brought creative art to REO Town.  This annual event is a great (hopefully permanent) addition to the Lansing Art Calendar,

    114501 – ONE-STROKE PAINTING

    This course will teach you the basics of One-Stroke decorative painting. The One-Stroke method of decorative painting was created by Donna Dewberry and has been seen on cable and public television. One-Stroke painting is an easy, fun method to paint on almost anything. A complete floral design will be painted together at each session. Beginners and others may join us in painting using basic strokes to make beautiful projects. Instructor: Celestine Hart 5 sessions

Do you like to draw and paint but don’t have the time OR the resources to get take classes and learn more? There are many more like you!. The Lett’s Center Creative Painting Club is looking for you!. This is group seeking beginner and amateur painters. We are joining together to learn more about painting. All types of painters are welcome including acrylic, watercolor, and oil. We can explore everything from traditional canvas painting to card making, and from murals to painted fashions and much more. We can learn from each other, share resources and invite quest teachers. Let’s get together and pool our knowledge and resources and learn more together. No class on 11/27
